Instructions for using T2C Pictures as Screensavers and Wallpaper

The T2C pictures with sayings are available as jpegs in order to facilitate their use on individuals’ PCs. So feel free to save some or all of them on your computer and to use them as inspiration while you work.

In order to use the pictures as your wallpaper and/or screensavers they will need to be stored on your computer’s hard drive. So when you download a T2C picture that you would like to save, ensure the picture is displayed at full size, if it is not at full size an ‘enlarge’ icon will appear in the lower right hand corner of the browser window when the mouse is held over the picture. Click on this icon and the picture will enlarge to full size. Then right–click on the picture and click on ‘Save’. Browse through the directories until you find the folder where you want to save the picture – we recommend setting up a folder exclusively for T2C pictures so that you can use them as your screen saver (see below).

FOR A T2C WALLPAPER

Wallpaper is the background picture that you have on your computer after start–up. To set up your favourite picture as your wallpaper, click on ‘Start’, then on ‘Control Panel’, and double–click on the icon ‘Display’. You may automatically be on the tab ‘Background’ (it might also be called ‘Desktop’ in some versions of Windows) but if not then click on the tab ‘Background’/‘Desktop’. Click on ‘Browse’ and then scroll through the hard drive until you find the picture you are choosing as your background wallpaper. Click on this picture, and then click on ‘Open’ followed by ‘Apply’. Close the dialogue box by clicking on ‘OK’.

FOR A T2C SCREENSAVER

Your screen saver is the background shown on the computer when it has been idle for a period of time. To set up your T2C pictures as your screen saver, click on ‘Start’, then on ‘Control Panel’, and double–click on the icon ‘Display’. Choose the tab ‘Screen Saver’ and go to the arrow showing the dropdown menu under ‘Screen saver’. Select ‘My Pictures Slideshow’ and then click on ‘Settings’. On the new dialogue box go to ‘Use pictures in this folder’ and browse through the hard drive until you find the folder where you keep the pictures/sayings.

Once you have selected the folder, you can then personalise the display to suit your own wishes. Move the arrow under ‘How often should the pictures change’ to choose the length of time each picture is shown – something in the region of 10 to 20 seconds is generally sufficient to allow the impact of the saying and picture to register. Then choose how large you want the pictures to be. And finally make selections in the four boxes in the bottom half of the dialogue box to personalise the screensavers to your wishes. Click ‘Apply’ to save these changes.

This will now bring you back to the Screen saver dialogue box. You may want to reduce the length of time before the Screen saver starts to get the most out of them. Do this by reducing the ‘time to wait’ to however many minutes you wish.

Finally, click on ‘Apply’ and close the dialogue box by clicking on ‘OK’.
